Parking:
There's valet parking for $5.50 out front, and a few coveted meters available on Melrose. If those are full, try to snag a spot in front of the West Hollywood Library, located just west of the bar on San Vicente.
What to Drink:
Cool your heels with a refreshing Cucumber Cobbler, made with vodka, fresh squeezed lemon juice, ginger syrup and apple cucumber puree. They go down easy, and the attentive wait staff will keep the drinks coming all night.
When to Go:
The door relaxes slightly on Monday nights for "celebrity karaoke," when the wannabe famous (and sometimes the famous themselves) belt and blunder through trendy pop songs. Show up in your slinkiest threads and, depending on what regulars decided to show, you might get around the two bouncers to see the likes of Avril crooning Britney.
Know Before You Go:
The owners like the idea of a close-knit group, so it's nearly impossible to get in without an invitation or referral, and almost as difficult to get a person on the phone to request a reservation. The good news is once you make it through the heavy leather door, it will open much more easily in the future.
